Top 10 UK models by registrations from 1 January 2026 to 1 June 2026
The model chart is much less concentrated than the manufacturer view. The Jaecoo 7 Luxury PHEV Auto leads this snapshot, but the top 10 together still account for only a small slice of model-known registrations.
Based on AutoRank vehicle registration data from 1 January 2026 to 1 June 2026. The model field uses the registered model text, so some entries include trim, powertrain or body-style wording.
Monthly registration pattern
March is the clear plate-change spike. June only covers 1 June, so it is naturally much smaller.
Top 10 share
70,752 of 1,066,022 model-known registrations sit inside the top 10.
What stands out in the numbers
The Jaecoo 7 Luxury PHEV Auto is the clear leader here, with 16,339 registrations between 1 January and 1 June. That puts it well ahead of the BMW 120 M Sport MHEV Auto in second.
Hybrid and plug-in wording appears again and again across the top 10. Kia, MG, BYD and Jaecoo all show how much of the early-2026 model demand is being pulled toward electrified family cars and crossovers.
The model market is far more spread out than the manufacturer market. The top 10 model records make up 6.6% of model-known registrations, compared with 50.3% for the top 10 manufacturers.
Why this is useful if you are shopping
High registration volume usually means more examples to compare, more trim choice and a clearer idea of what the market is paying. That is useful when you are trying to work out whether a listing is fairly priced.
Because several rows include exact trim and powertrain wording, use this as a demand guide rather than a full buying verdict. Once a model catches your eye, compare the exact version for running costs, tax, reliability and equipment.

These are exact registered model records, which is why trim and powertrain wording appears in several names.
